Welcome to the page for the Dexter Drama Directing Series, affectionately referred to as “3D.” Now in its eleventh year, this production's purpose is to showcase the power of student-driven work. All one-acts within this series are student-directed by upperclassmen and, as always for Dexter Drama, student-acted and student-crewed.
We feel wonderfully blessed to have students within Dexter with the talent, drive, and ambition to meet this challenge. An interesting fact about the history of this series is since its original debut eleven years ago, the "3D" Series has always had at least one student playwright as well. We are very proud that this unique production serves as a celebration of both student leadership and student writing as well affirms that Dexter has a Drama program that encourages a student to explore and experience all aspects of the theater.

The parent's claim 1986 to be "pretty much the most awesome year ever", but it comes to their surprise that what they remember from that year is completely different from each other. Mom's version makes their meeting sound romantic and sappy while Dad makes himself the star of a karate battle. This whimsical one-act is a perfect representation of classic bad 80s movies and the inadequacies of memory.
