Within the Dexter Drama Club we make it our mission to be deeply inclusive. We strive to create an environment where students of diverse backgrounds are confident they can bring all of who they are to our program and be excited to do their best work. No matter if the student is interested in being onstage, backstage, or under the stage in our Pit Orchestra, we want all students to feel valued. Moreover, our students are diverse not only in their interests or level of theatrical experience, but in gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, class, religion and age, and also in life experiences, thoughts and ideas. We believe that diverse and inclusive teams have a positive impact on our productions and personal growth as a community. We, at the Dexter Drama Club, know we are not all the same and that is truly our greatest strength. We pledge to continue to work every day to build an inclusive environment where all students and staff feel they can contribute fully to meet their own goals and the goals of the Dexter Drama Club.
